    Millis MA

Since 2009, here at Lola’s Landscape, we have been providing our expert landscaping services to residents and business owners of Millis MA. We provide a variety of services from spring cleanups, to landscape design, and lawn installation.

Just a few days ago, we had a call from a customer, who was interested in our lawn repair services. She said that her lawn had a brownish color, and she could tell that it wasn’t very healthy. We told her that we would send out a team to inspect her lawn, to see if they could figure out what was wrong with her lawn. One of our landscapers traveled to her house, and he could see that her yard was being overrun by insects and various grass diseases. Right away he suggested three services that would eliminate these diseases, and insects: dethatching, watering and fertilizing.

Once your grass is healthy enough, it will be able to fight off these invasions; when your lawn is not healthy, it is not strong enough to fight these infections, and it can become very costly to fix. So when you first notice your lawn’s poor condition, call us right away so that we can bring its health up high enough to fight off these insects!

We will watered her lawn, we told her that she needs to do this at least twice a week, go rid of all the thatch (leaves and debris) from the soil, and fertilized her lawn. After a few checkups here and there, her lawn will be in tip top shape; strong enough to fight off insects and other diseases that can harm your lawn!

We provide our services all over Norfolk County; if you are interested in a free estimate, please give us a call at 774-248-4584; we are looking forward to helping improve the health of your grass this summer!

    Fertilizing in Early April

Spring is here and soon all that snow will melt (hopefully!). After such a long winter, your lawn will need some nourishment to help it grow strong and healthy. Fertilizer will help give your lawn the nourishment is needs! Fertilizing creates naturally occurring minerals in your grass’s soil, allowing it to grow consistently. When the nutrients are released, the root systems will fill in any bare patches, depriving weed seeds of sunlight, and thus halting their germinating process.

Two of the most important components to the fertilizing process are lime application and crabgrass control.

Lime application usually takes place in early April. So don’t hesitate to book an appointment with us! This will help your grass grow, as it balances out the acid that has built up over the winter. When your grass has a lot of acid, fungus and other diseases will start to grow, and feed on your grass. Liming your lawn will eliminate the buildup of acid, thus eliminating the outbreak of fungus and other diseases.

Crabgrass is the most common form of weeds. They usually begin to grow sometime in early May. However, you should call us in early April to start the prevention process crabgrass. When you start the prevention process in early April, when May rolls around, crabgrass will be nowhere to be found! However, if you do wait until May to call us, we will be able to get rid of those nasty weeds that are taking over your grass.

Early April is when the fertilizing process should begin. It is important to get an early jumpstart on maintaining your lawn! We have been servicing the Norfolk County region since 2009, and we are looking forward to helping you maintain a healthy lawn. If you have any questions, or want to book an appointment will us, please give Lola’s Landscape a call at 774-248-4584.
